"I WILL CHOOSE A STAR" was written
by a husband who had just lost his wife to cancer.
It touched my heart and I know will touch yours also.
' I will Choose A Star '
I looked upon a lonely stretch of beach last night...
...and I dreamed of you, of us, of everything we have been before.
I remembered when we would spend time in our special place looking
inward ...
and dreaming ...
I let one single tear roll down my cheek and for a moment,
light from the stars above was captured in it.
The light faded, as it did when you left,
but what remained was a warmth and love that no one can extinguish.
We may never be together again, in this life time.
My arms may never hold you or
protect you from the world again. But my heart still beats as one,
and
my soul still lives with your love until we meet again.
So, on a clear night in the not too distant future, my love;
I will choose a star, and I'll meet you there.
It shouldn't be the easiest to find, or the brightest ...
but I will choose one that radiates,
the way we did, not long ago.
I will hold it in my heart and never forget where it is.
It will light our separate paths and be a beacon wherever I go.
I will choose a star, my love, and someday, in another life to be,
when we are together again,
and our love regains its strength and our souls are as one...
I will choose a star, my love, and when my chores are done, reach out
your hands to me..
I will choose a star, my love,
and I'll meet you there.
I Love You and miss you so much.
