~ PRAYERS ~

Little girl I listen
as you say your prayers at night
Your bended knees, your tears I see
and even when you sigh
You don't know how to tell a lie,
you hold it all deep inside
And come to me believeing
that I can hear your cry

I made majestic mountains
and rivers that are wide
I made the ocean roar
and the eagles glide
I put the stars in heaven
and made the sun to shine
And even gave you rainbows
to take away your frown

Little girl I see you
when you say your prayers at night
Your bended knees, your tears I see
and sometimes it makes me cry
The gentleness and beauty
that radiates inside
The awesome wonder of a child
as she softly cries

I touch the golden teardrops
that fall upon the bed
And place a guardian angel
softly by your head
Each message that you murmur,
each time that you're in need
I'll be right here beside you,
because you believe in me
